Life is a mess for me after I graduated my bachelor’s degree. I assume that I could easily adjust with the changes occurs and the responsibilities that lies ahead. Along the way, chaos was the first to strike. I had a bad time handling with life’s circumstances and indifference’s. However, I still try my best to cope up with the situation just like coping up with the hectic assignments and project I have in school before. I find it hard to look for a job after graduation but it never come into my mind that in just a forty winks after depression and doubt cover up my senses I was hired in a job that really gives me an opportunity to development every aspects of my being, from being a typical boyish girl into a more womanlike individual. Likewise it gives me sense of responsibility and enthusiasm in everything I do.
My job may not be directly related to my degree but it is somewhat fulfilling and remarkable for me because I can explore the things beyond the ordinary things I have done in college. These are things that can’t be reflected in school, things that it is only me can define and that’s what I call life’s mystery. (Isn’t it exciting to have a job not related to your degree:-D?). Oh yes! It is! And with the fact that you’re into the organization that helps promote and improve communities worldwide, that’s awesome! Leadership Initiatives empowered youth to be more acclaim through creating effective development projects in the community. A sustainable project that responds to community problems is our precedence. Generally, CHANGES and DEVELOPMENT is what the organization desiring for. This fact unfolds me to the history of my country. That was during the time wherein Filipino Youth leads the way to changes and development from a regime that marks and strikes the history of the Philippines. How I wish I was one of the youth who leads the way to changes and development in the past decade.
On the other hand, you know what I really find irresistible in LI is the fact that they give me opportunity to serve my community in such a way that is different from the past youth approach to changes and development. Besides it is not only my community that I am serving for but also I’m serving for my family out of my salary. I am in the midst of serving community and my family which for me is a rewarding task and it is just like hitting two birds in one shot;-D.
LI is from a MAG (Marshall, Antoine, and Giacomo). The word which is pronounce similar to the word MUG (which means a drinking cup) is my companion in everything I do since the day I started working as LI’s Palawan Affairs Director. Of course if there is a mug there should be something on it. That could be milk or coffee which for me signifies Blushel and John. Milk is what Blushel for me (Blushel is the first Program Manager I’m working with) and coffee is what John for me (John is the Operations Coordinator). Milk and coffee in such a way that they pour knowledge to me, they let me know what LI’s mission and vision and they let me know the MAG of the organization. It’s just like taking up a sip from a mug in which I intake what is inside. I used my mug every day, from morning until night and I use to work with MAG everyday too;-D. Isn’t it obvious that LI for me is one of a kind? Yes it is! That’s what LI for me! A one of a kind organization! LI unfolds every aspects of leading, serving and living. LI lend a hand for me to meet individuals that also desiring for Changes and Development. LI’s participants here in Palawan are the individuals I am referring to. They are bunch of college students for changes and development with common goals and shared norms. LI is by leading, for leading and of leading. LI helps me take my plight for changes and development.
